Halloween Costume Clearance = Dress Up Clothes

Do you have a young child who loves to dress up?  I have the perfect present for you to be on the look out for!

In the coming weeks, Halloween costumes will go on clearance.  Target is a great place to score some great Halloween costume clearance finds.  They will start by putting all the costumes on clearance at 30%, probably the day after Halloween.  They will quickly continue to mark them down, as they need that space for more Christmas merchandise.

Many of their costumes are priced at $20, so if you can hold out for the 50% mark down, you'll be able to score some great dress up clothes for just $10 a piece!  A few years ago I hit the 75% mark down (they now only go down to 70%, but if you have the RedCard, you can get an additional 5% off) and scored four different Disney Princess dresses for only $5 each!

We gave those to my daughter for Christmas that year.  Personally, I love the visual of a lot of presents under the tree, so we wrapped them separately.  Wrapping them separately will give you that visual of a very full tree without leaving you with a very empty wallet!

This year, I'm on the hunt for a Cinderella dress on clearance after Halloween to bring to Disney World in the spring.  My daughter is going to do the Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique and we're going to bring a new Cinderella dress for her to wear!

Here are some places to scout out for clearanced costumes:

Target
Walmart
Disneystore.com
Toys R Us
Babies R Us
Old Navy
Pottery Barn Kids

You can try your chances on sites like iparty or other dedicated costume websites, but you probably won't find a great deal there because they do costumes all year long.  They aren't trying to move out merchandise as much as the retailers listed above.

Good luck!
