Make Your List... and Check it Twice

If you haven't started thinking about who you need to buy for and what gifts you need to buy this holiday season, now is the time to get started!  This week, make it your goal to first, make a list of who you have to buy for, then make a list of what you'd like to buy for those people.

Write down everyone... spouses, children, friends, parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, teachers, bus drivers, postal workers, neighbors, etc.  Really rack your brain and write down every single person that you'll be giving a gift.   You may not be able to come up with a gift for everyone on your list right away, but at least this exercise will get you thinking. And as you come up with ideas, fill them in to your list.

Christmas is two months from this coming Thursday.  Two months is still a good amount of time.  If you start shopping little by little, you will be able to save money (by scouting out great deals) and save yourself a little stress not shopping at the last minute!

By stretching your shopping out over the next two months, you'll also be able to spread your spending out over two different months budgets.

Ah, budgets... we'll get in to that topic tomorrow.  :)  So don't buy anything just yet.  Just start with your list!
